Workshops

Jewellery Moves - Fiona of Jewellery Moves brings pop-up jewellery workshops to homes and venues across the South West. Her ethos is rooted in the belief that the act of making is just as precious as the finished piece — a reminder that jewellery can be created anywhere, by anyone curious enough to give it a try.
Molesworth & Bird - Learn the unique art of seaweed pressing in the beautiful coastal town of Lyme Regis. In this relaxed and creative workshop, Melanie and Julia of Molesworth & Bird guide you through the entire process — from how to forage for the best specimens to the skills needed for successful, beautifully detailed presses.
Elka - I would be remiss not to mention our own workshops — they really are at the heart of what we do. We love meeting you, sharing our knowledge, and seeing the incredible things you create. If you’re looking for a meaningful experience to gift this year, we also offer personalised workshop vouchers.

Ministry of Mending - The Mending Macaron Starter Kit
A beautiful reminder that repair is an act of love — for your clothes, your community and the planet. The Mending Macaron Starter Kit is a carefully curated visible-mending set containing all the essential tools you need to start fixing your much-loved garments. Ministry of Mending also share generous repair tutorials, mend-along videos and practical tips through their newsletter, making it wonderfully easy to breathe new life into the pieces you already own.
Stitch School - A- Z Linen Embroidery Kit
A gentle introduction to the alphabet of embroidery stitches, this kit includes a beautifully printed linen sampler, hoop, threads, tapestry needles and a fold-out instruction sheet — everything you need to begin stitching at your own pace.
Sarah Young - Cut & Sew Tea Towel
Now working mostly as a printmaker, illustrator and maker, Sarah originally began as a travelling puppet maker, and that sense of theatre brings playfulness and whimsy to her work. We adore her versatile tea towels, which can be used as traditional dishcloths or transformed — with simple printed instructions — into bright toys or cushions. Little Red Riding Hood is one of my favourites, and will soon be made into a cushion!
She Grows Veg - Grow Your Own Compostable Christmas Crackers
Bring a little green magic to the table with She Grows Veg’s fully compostable Christmas crackers, each containing a packet of beautiful heirloom seeds — from Brussels sprouts and parsnips to carrots, broccoli and even a Christmas tree. With QR-linked growing guides and zero-waste packaging, these crackers are a joyful, eco-friendly way to start next year’s festive feast from seed.
Art

Jo Burgess (Green Magpie) - Personalised paper-cut collages
Jo Burgess creates highly personalised paper-cut collages using only salvaged and reclaimed materials. Each piece is cut by hand and built slowly over days or weeks, resulting in meaningful, low-waste artworks that capture homes, people, pets and special moments in beautiful detail.
Louise Boulter - Medieval calendar prints
A wonderful illustrator from Frome — and a dear friend — Louise Boulter is an artist I admire so much I could happily wallpaper my house with her work. She has documented my family several times, and those pieces are truly treasured. Her latest series draws on the medieval Christian calendar, blending agricultural labours, saints’ legends and the zodiac into beautifully detailed prints. December’s Capricorn is my favourite.
Isla Middleton - 'Growing Through the Seasons' illustrated calendar
Based in Devon, Isla Middleton is a textile designer and printmaker whose work is inspired by plant forms, flowers and the natural colours around her. Rooted in a love of shape, form and texture, her designs feel both organic and timeless. I especially love her hand-printed botanical artworks, her beautiful seasonal posters, and her Growing Through the Seasons illustrated calendar.
Rosanna Morris - Bread & Roses tea towel
The Bread & Roses tea towel was gifted to Annushka years ago, and it hung proudly in her wine shop — a piece with a traditional, timeless feel. Rosanna Morris’s illustrations reflect her long-standing interest in sustainability, food sovereignty and growing food, often exploring themes of agriculture, horticulture and the natural world. She believes in print as a tool for communication and change, creating artwork that is both beautiful and purpose-led.

Marigold Moth - Mimosa brooch
Co-founded by a mother–daughter duo in 2024, Marigold Moth is a sustainable clothing shop and studio focused on eco-conscious design and craftsmanship. They work primarily with vintage and antique textiles to create contemporary, whimsical garments and objects. Their shop is a treasure trove of beautifully crafted and selected pieces, including their charming embroidered mimosa brooch, one of our favourites. Annushka and I are currently plotting a trip to Penzance to see the shop in person.
Dreamspell - Hagstone necklace
A Somerset-born fine art graduate turned silversmith, she now creates nature-inspired silver jewellery from her shepherd’s hut studio on the north Cornish coast, blending traditional techniques with a style that is distinctly her own. Inspired by the protective folklore of naturally holed hag stones, these solid sterling silver pendants echo a form I’ve always loved and often search for with my daughter on our long walks.
Jewellery Moves - Worry ring
Fiona not only runs her wonderful pop-up jewellery workshops, she also creates timeless pieces of her own. I’m especially fond of her worry ring — a simple, beautiful design that’s grounding to wear and quietly comforting in busy moments.

Fine Cell Work - Hope pillow
Fine Cell Work is a UK-based rehabilitation charity and social enterprise that makes beautiful handmade products in British prisons. Their aim is to provide rehabilitation through the transformative power of needlework, delivered through both their in-prison and post-release programmes.
A collaboration with designer Brandon Mably, the Hope Pillow is a beautifully crafted reminder of the importance of hope. Sign up for their newsletter and enjoy 10% off your first order.
Ambrose Vevers - Spatulas
Based in Ashburton on the edge of Dartmoor, Ambrose Vevers is a woodsman and craftsperson dedicated to traditional, locally sourced making. Every piece is handcrafted in his workshop using timber gathered and managed sustainably from Devon woodlands he coppices, fells and replants himself. His spatulas and butter spreaders are beautifully made and would be a treasured gift for any cook.
The Chuffed Store - 'I Bloody Love You' platter
The Chuffed Store brings together the work of more than 50 artist-makers from across the British Isles, offering a beautifully curated collection of handmade pieces. Everything is crafted in the UK, thoughtfully made and genuinely unique — an inspiring place to find gifts with real character and heart. There’s so much to love here (truly, we want it all), but a particular favourite is the “I Bloody Love You” platter by South-of-England ceramicist Jane Tyler.
Lemon & Jinja - Hunu collapsible cup
The Hunu Collapsible Cup is a brilliantly simple solution for life on the go — it folds down to pocket size so you can carry it everywhere. It’s become an essential bit of kit for me, both in day-to-day life and in the camper van, where space is tight and reusable gear really matters. I take it everywhere with my very necessary coffee, and it makes it wonderfully easy to say “no” to disposable cups. I got mine from Lemon & Jinja, one of my favourite sustainable shops.

Ecology - Magnesium ointment
Ecology is our local refill store in Stockbridge and a weekly essential. They prioritise organic food and thoughtfully made products, seeing them as the surest way to care for soil and planet, and each item is thoroughly tested before being stocked. One of our favourites is their soothing magnesium ointment, a gentle blend of magnesium and calming lavender that has become part of our bedtime routine — a simple, comforting way to support the body through the skin.
Wilder Botanics - Healing spirit soak
A truly remarkable product that we all adore: Pink Himalayan salts blended with Vetiver and Rose Geranium. A dear friend sent Annushka a jar while she was recovering from surgery, and it proved to be exactly the healing she needed. She later sent me a jar during a particularly stressful time, and it was an unbelievably restorative bathing experience.
Books
Peter Korn - Why we make things and why it matters?
Part memoir, part polemic, part philosophical reflection, this is a book about the process of creation. For woodworker Peter Korn, the challenging work of bringing something new and meaningful into the world through one’s own efforts is exactly what generates the authenticity, meaning and fulfilment so many of us yearn for. This is not a how-to book; Korn is interested in the why of craft, and in the deep satisfaction of creative work — exploring its essential nature with clarity and insight.
Kassia St Clair - The Secret Lives of Colour
The Secret Lives of Colour tells the vivid story of civilisation. From scarlet women to imperial purple, leaf green to the white paint that protected against the atom bomb, Picasso’s blue period to the pink Barbie claimed for feminism, The Secret Lives of Colour offers a bright thread throughout human history.
Robin Wall Kimmerer - Braiding Sweetgrass
As a botanist, Robin Wall Kimmerer has been trained to ask questions of nature with the tools of science. As a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, she embraces the understanding that plants and animals are our oldest teachers. In Braiding Sweetgrass, Kimmerer weaves these two ways of knowledge together.
