Children's Weaving Workshops at Top Floor Hive: 7th July
A Saturday workshop for children between 11am - 1.00pm or 2.30pm - 4.30pm at the Top Floor Hive in The Consortium, Winchester.
The workshop price includes 2 hours of guided tuition, use of the looms, a wide selection of materials and fibres including organic cotton, bamboo, flax and hemp.
Drinks and snacks will be available.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The workshop will teach the basic principles and terminology of weaving and your child will create a small woven piece using a frame loom, whilst being encouraged to experiment with colour and texture.
Spaces are limited to ensure as much guidance as is necessary is on hand at all times.
This workshop is suitable for children aged 7 and upwards who are complete beginners, and those that have a little experience and would like a refresher.
The looms are available to buy at the the end of the workshop.
We ask that you try to arrive at least 10 minutes before the workshop starts so that the children can meet each other, grab a drink, settle in and feel comfortable to say goodbye to you for a few hours.
